There are four alternative methods to set up parental controls on Disney Plus:
1 - Limitation on Profile Creation
You can limit who can add new profiles to the account from a "master" or default profile. Click/tap on the accounts profile picture, and select restrict Profile Creation, so kids don't get around "rating restrictions" by adding dummy accounts and watch what they want before deleting it.
2 - Content Ratings
The new Disney+ service allows parents to restrict the rating of their child's shows, with an option for TV-MA and Rated R video content. In addition, if the kids figure out how to change rating settings, this information will be sent straight away to you via email, so you know what action needs to be taken next!
3 - Setting Up a 4 Digit Pass Code
You can also lock a profile with 4 digit pin code indicated by the padlock. If you're on a master account, click/tap profile picture, edit Profiles, select your desired character's login information, and scroll down to find Profile Pin where it says "profile password." Adding or changing this sensitive data requires access to a master account, so be sure that auto-fill passwords are turned off unless you want kids getting past this
4 - Make a Designated Kids Profile
What better way to keep your kids safe than by creating a profile for them with restrictions that can only be removed via answers to questions about their age and identity? You need to add the answer to your selected question; just make sure you remember the answer to the question, as it can be used to remove the profile from any device.
How to Change Parental Controls on Disney Plus?
If you need to change your kid's profile settings, log in to the account from any device and click on the account icon in the top-right corner of the screen. From there, select "Edit Profile" and then "Parental Controls." You'll be asked to enter your password before being able to make any changes. From there, you can change the content restrictions, profile PIN, or email address associated with the account.

How to Remove Parental Controls on Disney Plus?
You can remove parental controls from both desktops and smartphones.
To remove parental controls from your desktop computer, log in to your account and hover over your profile name in the upper right corner of the screen. From there, select "Edit Profile" and then "Parental Controls." You'll be asked to enter your password before being able to make any changes. Once in the parental controls menu, click the "Off" button next to "Content Restrictions."
Open the Disney Plus app from your smartphone and log in to your account. Tap on the three lines in the top-left corner of the screen, scroll down and tap on "Profile Picture." From there, select "Edit Profile" and then "Parental Controls." As with the desktop site, you'll need to enter your password before making any changes. Once you're in, tap on the "Remove Parental Controls" button, and you're all set!

Things to Keep in Mind While Setting Parental Controls
There is no way to set different levels of content restrictions for different family members. Everyone who uses your account will be subject to the same rules.
If you have a child who is almost 13, they will not be able to watch any content restricted by parental controls until their birthday. At that point, they can watch all restricted content without entering a PIN.
