But however you choose to watch, HBO offers hundreds of movies, from classics to movies that have just been released in the modern era. To help you make the most of your time, we've rounded up some of the best movies available on HBO right now.

It has been two years since Batman first confronted crime. In Gotham City, a series of inexplicable murders occur. At each crime scene, a mysterious message was left for Batman. Bruce Wayne sets out to solve the cases and comes face to face with the corruption in Gotham City, in which his own family is deeply involved. With a stellar cast, script, and action, "The Batman" is a film that anyone can stand to see.
IMDb rating 6.3/10
Genre Crime, Drama, Thriller
Cast: Zoe Kravitz, Erika Christensen, Rita Wilson
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Running time: 1 hour 29 min
Angela (Zoe Kravitz), an employee of Amy Gdala Corporation, works at home monitoring data collected by the company's smart speaker, Kimi. When Angela obtains evidence of a crime, her boss tells her to ignore it and launch her own investigation.
Kimi" manages to feel both fresh and familiar by adding a technological twist to a classic Hitchcockian premise.
IMDb rating 7.5/10
Cast Susan Sarandon, Geena Davis
Directed by Ridley Scott
Running time: 2 hours 10 minutes
Thelma (Geena Davis) is a quiet housewife who goes on a road trip with her best friend Louise (Susan Sarandon). However, trouble strikes on the road and the two become fugitives fleeing to Mexico. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, this film became a pop culture phenomenon because of its brilliant acting and feminist point of view.
IMDb rating 7.4/10
Genre Crime, Mystery
Cast Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette
Director Guillermo del Toro
Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes
Guillermo del Toro's previous film, "The Shape of Water," was a poignant and moving tale of two lost people who find each other and really connect, even though one is a cat-eating fish man. Nightmare Alley is not quite as lovely, but it is full of the solid performances and beautiful cinematography that make all of del Toro's films so special.
The film is an adaptation of William Lindsay Gresham's 1946 novel (first adapted for the screen in 1947) about Stanton Carlyle (Cooper), a man with a shady past who finds a good (and possibly lucrative) hiding place in a traveling carnival. A portrait of the dark side of an already rather seedy world, this film is a must-see for fans of noir and del Toro.
Origin story of the grittiest villain without a superhero.

Directed by Todd Phillips Todd Phillips
Running time: 2 hours, 2 minutes
Before Batman came along, there was a failed clown named Arthur Fleck. When the Joker incurs the wrath of billionaire Thomas Wayne, people take to the streets wearing clown masks in reaction.
Joaquin Phoenix's performance is not as memorable as previous interpretations of the character. Still, his performance as Gotham's most famous villain is the best I've seen in the recent string of DC films.
IMDb rating 5.5/10
Genre Comedy, Romance, Science Fiction
Cast Cole Sprouse, Mason Gooding, Lana Condor
Director Christopher Winterbauer
Running time: 1 hour 44 minutes
Sophie (Lana Condor) boards a spaceship bound for Mars and befriends stowaway Walt (Cole Sprouse). Sophie, who has a lover on the Red Planet, begins to spark in space.
Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse create cosmic chemistry, and the rest of the cast provides consistent laughs in this young adult romance comedy.
One of the best action films ever made.
IMDb rating 8.1/10
Starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult
Director George Miller
Running time: 2 hours
In an era when action movies are all about CGI, "Mad Mad Fury Road" is a rare find. It is an action movie made almost entirely of practical effects and stunts. And the results are stunning. The plot has the protagonist, Mad Max (Tom Hardy), helping a handful of women escape from the villainous Immortan Joe and his band of apocalyptic warriors. But you are not watching for the plot anyway. It's all for the spectacle.
IMDb rating 8.1/10
Cast Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint
Directed by Elan Creevy, Joe Perlman, Giorgio Testi
Running time: 1 hour 42 minutes
The main cast of the "Harry Potter" series come together in this TV special to reminisce about the filming of the eight fantasy blockbusters. It is full of interviews and conversations between the cast members. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, whose anti-transgender views have caused controversy in the news and social media over the past few years, does not appear in this production.
