NHL is every sports lover's dream come true. This year’s NHL will have 32 teams, out of which only 16 will make the playoffs at the end of the season. Each division will have the top three winning teams. Also, there will be two wild card entries, making a total of eight teams that will move forward.

NHL Teams List
1 - Las Vegas Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden plays the part of the Pacific Division in the Western Conference and is based in Las Vegas. The Golden Knights were formed in 2017 as an expansion team, becoming Las Vegas' first major sports franchise.
2 - San Jose Sharks

15 - Arizona Coyotes

16 - Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken is an upcoming expansion team in the NHL. They are set to play in the 2021-22 season and will be based in Seattle, Washington.

When Tampa Bay was awarded an NHL franchise in 1992, the Lightning became the first expansion team in the southeastern United States.
21 - Vancouver Canucks
Vancouver Canucks joined the league in 1970 as an expansion team along with the Buffalo Sabers. Canucks are members of the Pacific Division in the Western Conference.
22 - Detroit Red Wings
Regarding professional sports, Detroit is synonymous with the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). The franchise was founded in 1926 and won 11 Stanley Cups,
23 - Carolina Hurricanes
Many people don't know this, but the Carolina Hurricanes were founded in 1971 as the New England Whalers. The team relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1979 and then to Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1997.
24 - Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche was founded in Quebec City, Quebec, in 1972 as the Quebec Nordiques. The team relocated to Denver, Colorado, in 1995 and won the Stanley Cup in their first season in their new city.
25 - Toronto Maple Leafs
The Maple Leafs were founded in 1917 and are currently members of the Atlantic Division.
26 - Edmonton Oilers
Another Canadian team, the Edmonton Oilers, are also Pacific Division members. The Oilers were founded in 1972 and have won five Stanley Cups, most recently in 1990.
27 - Winnipeg Jets
The jets were founded in 1999 and are currently members of the Central Division. They have never won a Stanley Cup but have made the playoffs several times.
28 - Montreal Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens are the most successful team in the NHL, with 24 Stanley Cup wins. The Canadiens are currently members of the Atlantic Division.
29 - Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins were Founded in 1924 and won six Stanley Cups. The Bruins are currently members of the Atlantic Division.
30 - Columbus Blue Jackets
The Columbus Blue Jackets are a relatively new team founded in 2000. They have yet to win a Stanley Cup but have made the playoffs several times. The Blue Jackets are currently members of the Metropolitan Division.
31 - Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames are another iconic NHL team. Founded in 1972, they won one Stanley Cup in 1989. The Flames are currently members of the Pacific Division.
32 - Philadelphia Flyer
The Philadelphia Flyer was founded in 1967, and they have won two Stanley Cups, most recently in 1975. The Flyers are currently members of the Metropolitan Division.
